Art and India: Barthi Kher

When the thousand-year old Indian tradition meets the contemporary art the result s a mix of different and colourful elements. Barthi Kehr is one of the most famous Indian artists and she works among sculpture, installation and painting. One of Kher’s works characteristics are the Bindi – the traditional decorations that the Indian women wear on the forehead – that Kher uses to fill colour on her art.
